Overview

SmartPensionApp (displayed as Pillar on your device) is a Swiss pension and tax calculator for iOS, published by actuaryexplains.ch. This policy describes how the app handles information. The short answer: it doesn’t collect any.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Location data
• Financial inputs you enter into any calculator (buy-in amounts, tax rates, income, etc.)
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage statistics or analytics
• Crash reports sent to third parties

How Your Inputs Are Stored

All values you enter (buy-in amounts, canton, retirement age, income, etc.) exist only in memory while the app is open. The premium unlock status is saved locally on your device only via iOS’s built-in storage (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device and is deleted if you uninstall the app. We have no access to it.

Internet & Network Access

The calculators are fully offline. The app makes network requests only for one purpose: to process In-App Purchases through Apple’s StoreKit framework. No financial data or personal information is transmitted during this process — only the standard Apple purchase flow is used.

In-App Purchases

Third-Party Services

The app does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, advertising networks, or social media frameworks. The PDF export feature uses only Apple’s built-in system frameworks. In-App Purchases use Apple’s StoreKit 2 framework exclusively.

Children’s Privacy

This app is a financial tool intended for adults managing Swiss pension decisions. It is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

If the app’s data practices change in a future version, this page will be updated and a new effective date will be noted.
